So, I am still new at this blogging thing and somehow posted it before I was done! So, as I was saying Saturday night we had dinner with some of our friends and met thier new little baby boy! He is sooo cute! I tried to hold him, but he started to cry so I gave him right back. I felt almost as if it was the first time I ever held a baby, giving him back the moment he starts to cry. I think he may have smelled my milk....who knows! Mommy made him happy though when I gave him back to her.
Sunday, we went to visit the fam in Georgetown for a while and then came back to the beach house where Chris made us a delicious dinner of shrimp, keilbasa and saffron rice with peas. The boys really enjoyed it and so did I! We went back to Sam's Corner and the arcade and wore out the boys! Brice loved, loved, loved that place! One pic shows Brice with the lollipop and stretchy centipede bracelet he got with all his tickets!
Monday,
We spent a few hours on the beach and in the pool before heading back home. Fun and quick trip!
Brice did not want to leave but was happy to be home when we got back. Funny thing is, we went straight back out again to celebrate my Uncle Buddy's birthday at the skating rink. Yes, I did write skating rink. It took me a while to get the hang of it, but as for Chris, he was a pro! I was greatful because Brice needed someone to teach him how to skate and it wasn't going to be me; I felt like I was relearning to skate all over again along with him!
Don't forget Brice had experience with skating when he was in my belly! I was just about 5 weeks along when I went to a skating party for my nephew and noone but Chris knew I was pregnant. I gave my best attempt to skate then, got out on the floor and did a couple of rounds. The whole time I was skating I was nervous beyond belief about falling down and hurting him.. I didn't fall however I did end up having a miscarriage scare that led me to tell my Mom in the bathroom of the skating rink that I was pregnant! Not exactly how you want to tell your Mom, but all turned out well. I still think about how young and scared we were then.
Seriously though, Brice did so well at skating. He had several little older girls (about 5) wanting to help him out. One cute little girl was skating with him on the floor holding his hand. I know, it is a little too soon, but it was still cute to see!
